Riddle me this, squeak fixers...

Hi all,

So, I have an annoying squeak just to the left of the steering wheel around the dash area. It only happens after I fill up the gas tank to full. As the tank empties, the squeak dissipates.

Thoughts, opinions, experiences and flames welcomed.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

PS: Please, please do not tell me NOT to fill up the gas tank full....

There must be a bulletin on that.
My car had the gas tank dropped and a foam piece installed.
I wondered why, as my complaint was rattle in instrument cluster.

If you want, I can send you a copy of my service report.

As you can see, there are lots of spaces for squeaks to occur around the gas tank.
Probably need the foam piece added that Lunarx is referring to.

hey SOCALSTEVE .. do you have full leather? I have a similar squeak in a similar place .. I am going to see if the fuel tank empty makes mine goes away. I do not have full leather. Interestingly though .. I did not have the issue in my '13 C4S.

Yes, full leather interior. But, I don't think that is a part of the squeak at all.

I am not bald...Will the squeak go away if I shave my head? May be worth it!

Sorry. Natural baldness is the cure.

Did you ever figure out your rattle? Mine started doing the same. Louder with the gas tank full. At the dealer now.
