When will Rennsport VI happen?

Seeing all this coverage on Rennsport V makes me regret not attending the event. I don't see a projected date for Rennsport VI, so assume its not an annual event? Any thoughts on when then next one will be? I'm going to the next one!

They have been every three years, so plan on 2018.

Porsche cars+Porsche people + Laguna Seca + Monterey = Porsche heaven.

I was at the same restaurant as the Rennsport folks but with another group. Checking in for our table, someone nearby asked to be seated with the Porsche group. The guy was told "EVERYONE was with the Porsche group". A great three day party at the track and everywhere else too.

Finally got into to DC late last night suffering severe Rennsport withdrawal and almost went out at midnight for a drive. Good thing it was raining!

I believe the last 2 were 4 years apart...Rennsports IV was 4 years ago... October 2011 at Laguna Seca...

Before that Rennsport 3 was at Daytona in October 2007-4 years in-between

Rennsport 2 was April 2004 in Daytona which was 3 1/2 years in between...

Rennsport 1 was at Lime Rock July 2001 which is less than 3 years...

My buddy went to both the Daytona ones and the last 2 Monterey ones...

I wonder if the next one will be at Laguna Seca also? Maybe they'll take it back east again...Didn't Porsche NA move their headquarters to Atlanta, GA? and PCA is in Maryland, so maybe they'll try Road Atlanta next or somewhere back there...

Although, I hope they do another one in the West Coast...

One of the main reasons they stayed out west (California) was the attendance at IV was way more than double the events held in the East. Simple economics.

I heard that Laguna Seca RS V almost didn't happen because Porsche complained about the additional cost to send Museum cars from Germany and then an additional 2500 miles from the East Coast to Monterey...I don't know how true this is.

That might be true, but RR V ended up being the largest event ever held at Laguna Seca and the largest Porsche gathering in the world - over 57,000 attendees! The Porsche folks I ran into while there seemed to be pretty blown away by the number and quality of cars and fans that were present. I was equally impressed with the number of people and vehicles they brought. My guess is they covered their costs with the sales of merchandise alone - I had to wait in line for an hour to buy a RR V official polo shirt for $93.
