Tire Replacement...
Here we go again with another tire replacement question. My 991 C2S came with the p-Zeros. I do not track the car and for three years the tires have been excellent. I know that many people recommend replacing these tires with Michelin pilot super sports.
Problem is my two front tires have lots left ( as usual) and the rears absolutely are worn especially due to the neg camber
Question is, should I just replace the two rear tires ( since these tires have been fine for 3 years) and then do a wheel adjustment or do I buy a set of the Michlins for more than twice the money?
Again no track...

Just wait until you need all 4 to change over to MPSS.
BTW get your alignment checked/adjusted after replacing the rears. They should not be wearing oddly at least per OEM alignment spec's.

my OEM PZeros rears were done and had about 3k miles left on the fronts. Replaced all four with Michelins and so far been very happy. More compliant, less noisy and for around town spirited driving, great grip. PZeros for my purposes had excellent grip as well - again I'm not track the car but they were noticeably louder.

I was in the same boat - front tires OK back needed replacement. I did all 4 with the Michelins. I do not notice a ton of difference but have not been on the track yet. Mostly I just wanted the peace of mind.

I checked with my dealer as well as Tire Rack and they said that unless you are tracking or extreme usage you can replace rears with Michelins and then replace fronts with Michelins when needed - probably last twice as long as rears. BTW: For what it's worth, Michelin gives a treadwear warranty.
Have to say after only a few hundred miles since the change over to Michelin Pilot Sports, the difference is remarkable. Much quieter, better ride quality and seemingly better in the rain then the PZero. No plans on tracking the car so I'm no help in that area.
I don't track and had the same issue. I was considering buying two P-Zeros for the rear, then replacing all when the fronts wore out. Discount tire gives a warranty where you can test the tires for a couple of days so I tried out the Supersports. I liked the Supersports and didn't find any compelling problem with having the two different manufacture tires on. After almost 7,000 more miles and four years total I will now be putting Supersport on the front.
