Loss of torque - 3.4 AWE x-pipe?
Has anyone that has installed a AWE x-pipe experienced a loss of torque below 3500 rpm? If you look at AWE's own dyno chart, it seems as if it is significant (~20 ft-lbs at 3000 rpm).
When considering exhaust options, this makes me lean towards PSE since the last thing I want to do on my 3.4 is loose bottom end torque. I believe the OEM PSE has valves that open fully after 3500 rpm similar to the stock S to maximize low end torque.

Hey, Max! Given the reduction of back pressure what you're seeing isn't abnormal, with a significant gain over stock taking place in the mid range. If you're equipped with PSE and are interested in retaining valve operation, consider our popular SwitchPath™ configuration
Yes agree you are swapping power down low for gains up high. Problem is with my stock 3.4 ecu im not sure the computer would drive a valve to close/open like the S, even if I bought your switchpath configuration. Do you know? Could I get an aftermarket ecu to do it?
It's a bit more involved than just an ECU swap. Give a shout to SunCoast Porsche, I'm sure they could set you up with everything required to do the conversion (minus the actual exhaust itself if you wanted to go SwitchPath™).
