Buyback

So my 991.2 is just about 3 months old and 1300 miles. The dealer I bought from says wants to buy it back to fulfill requests and as they know my car from recent visit they prefer it from an auction. They say I can trade to a new one and keep my monthly payments in exchange.

Of course it's a sales pitch, I'm just wondering if there's any loss of money on their cars in stock when the year ends, either related to what they can profit versus what they pay PCNA as well as for losses they could claim with the IRS. That could explain and make this proposal less shady.

They have some S models in stock, nothing crazy and a TTS 16 with a 40k mark off ...

Sales pitch to get you to trade your car in on a new one. Happens with other brands, too.

Unless you are really unhappy with your car, I could not see a reason to flip a car so soon. Dealer will make $$$ on the deal, no question. YMMV.

That's what I think too. I'll post if they give me an appraisal on my car. Might be interesting to others as well.

Is the TTS a demo? How did they get a 40K markdown, John? Am I understanding that correctly?

TTS GT silver, MY16, 1800 miles, msrp 215 selling for 175. I think they'll let go for even less

They sell under the new car list, I don't think it was ticketed

I have a friend shopping for a TTS. Do you mind sharing the dealership information? I'll pass it on to him.
