More Power
I have not but it would be apples to oranges as I have a 3.4L car. The IPD plenum is pretty much the same concept as what Porsche includes in the X51 kit. With a good tune to get the most out of it, you should see gains of around 25-30 wheel horsepower. Remember that the X51 kit advertises crank power numbers so is actually closer to 40 at the wheels. The plenum is about $1000 and a good dyno tune will be about that as well. So factoring in labor, you'd be looking at $2500 or so all in. X51 would run you at least $15,000 installed unless you could find used parts but I don't even know how viable that is as I'm sure it has specific factory programming that is doubtless tied to the VIN. Will you realistically be able to feel a 7 to 9% increase in power? Probably not but nobody realistically needs a Porsche either but here we all are.
I can tell you I definitely feel the extra 30 hp at the higher RPM end in my GTS. It's not just intake benefit. It's software, intake, different cams, and a little extra valve lift.
The intake is about 1/2 of the equation.

Couple questions:
- is the IPD plenum and the GTS plenum the same? Thought I had read the GTS one was different...
- what do they tune when they do a Dyno tune? This type of tune doesn't need a flash?
thanks!

IPD vs. GTS are not the same. GTS intake is different. Super smooth intake walls to reduce pressure loss as well.
Exhaust for sure with cats, plenum, better air intake and tune should get you a nice increase. The vivid tune is a pretty damn good tune. They tuned my 997 turbo when I had that. Definitely felt the tune in that being a turbo an all. Great customer service, very knowledgable and really reliable. Vivid won't steer you wrong. Least my two cents.
