Dear all,

I recently got a 2018 Carrera but it lacks PSE. Can anyone recommend custom exhausts? I looked at retrofitting PSE but I got a quote for $5700 which did not seem worth it.

IPE is my favorite. I absolutely love it; more than Akrapovic.

Kline, Armytrix and Cargraphic are also worth a look. PM me if you want some better procing sources.

 

I concur with the user above. Out of all the premium exhaust companies that we carry iPE is my favorite due to the sheet sound of it. Below are two videos, one of dyno results and the other more of a sound clip.

What abouta Tubi or Kline Exhaust?

 

I would reach out to Sam at By Design and talk to him about available exhausts for your car. I had a car on the dyno that had a full By Design set up on it last week (although it was a PSE car) and I was very surprised by how amazing the car sounded.

It definitely didn't have the regular Porsche engine sound that I am used to hearing. It was a much tighter sound and sounded more like a high horsepower, low torque NA car, it sounded very very good. I would definitely recommend contacting his and seeing what he has available for you.

 

The Tubi looks attractive for non-PSE cars, but I can't find a sound clip anywhere.

I played with some Fabspeed parts(headers and exhaust). Would not recommend. YMMV and others have been happy. The quality did not match the price tag IMO.

Tubi is very well made. Tried to PM you about some others but you're not accepting PMs.

 

Sorry I don’t have any way of recording some good sound clips and through a cell phone just wouldn’t do it. The car is in Houston as I’m getting a whole bunch of other things done to the car and I will have it back soon, day lot of suspension upgrades Brembo big brake kit plus HRE P101 wheels with Michelin sport cup 2 tires.
Everyone is going to have their opinion about exhaust set ups but I’m plenty happy with the sound quality of Fabspeed. If I didn’t go with the Fabspeed I would have chosen Kline.
