These are the steps I took to get rid of the door rattle. In my case it seems like the hinge mechanism is the guilty part.

These are the products:

1- Diluted alcohol (50/50) and shop towels
2- Polish and clean applicator pad
3- 100% coconut oil and applicator pad

Use the alcohol to clean the plastic hinge as much as you can. Make sure to open the door all the way.
Once clean and completely dry I polished the plastic hinge. I spend a lot of time polishing... At least 4 times.
Last step is to apply the coconut oil. Make sure to apply plenty closer to the door. It seems like the bottom part is more critical.

The result is no more rattle and squeaks when I open the door:

Coconut is an organic material so while it may work in the short term you may get some unwanted things such as bugs and smell after a period of time so us it sparingly.

I did the same in my 997 and the rattle never came back.
