Note - apologies if you are also a Rennlister as this is repeated there, but we wanted to be sure to include the 6-Speed community.
Hi fellow 6-Speeders’ following on from our well received
(click) guides (which feature input from 6Speed/Rennlist members) we have launched a new book covering the 991 series in detail.
Over a year in the making it’s packed full with details on all aspects of these fabulous cars and covers both gen-1 and gen-2, all models (from Carrera through to GT2). It’s one of the first comprehensive 991 guides available.
Designed to be an interesting immersive read for existing owners and also ideal and incredibly useful for new buyers, the guide is packed full with high quality images alongside all the detail you could possibly need.
Although the guide is laid out and reads like a printed book, we have moved to using the Kindle App only, so you can download a copy instantly worldwide and Kindle is compatible with all devices (Apple, Android or PC). The other benefit of the Kindle format is you can - zoom into images (or text) for extra detail - search the entire book for keywords (ie PASM, PDK) and it will list all references for easy navigation - you can bookmark pages - It’s also possible to make notes on each page if you want, and more! You can
the first few pages and can also download the sample pages for free to see how it looks on your device.
(*Note - although we know many people want hardcopy, this guide is Kindle only, but we hope hardcore printed book readers will still give it a try as it works well in this format - particularly on any tablet - featuring 274 image rich pages with lots of accurate information, the guide is an easy enjoyable read for all Porsche fans) Thanks in anticipation of your support , the book is written by an enthusiast for fellow enthusiasts and is born from forums like the 6-Speed community.
"Books" have paper pages and if this comes out in 'book" format I will buy one!
Hi Bob, thanks for the feedback, appreciated. We do get that many want a physical printed version, unfortunately we can’t offer that at the moment.
I used to be the same and want paper only, but now much prefer to read on my tablet. Having said that we respect if this isn’t for you, but it’s only 20 bucks and paper or not we still think 991 enthusiasts will enjoy reading the guide. It fully covers all aspects of gen-1 and gen-2 991’s, plus everything from Carrera through to GT2. In addition, you even have a full option code list and the new 991 format VIL code references, plus things like country codes, service world areas A,B & C, etc... there is lots of good info inside
Aside from the pinch-to-zoom, search, make notes and bookmark options, with the kindle App, you can also access the guide on more than one device, for easy reference. So you could have a copy on your work computer (for lunchtime reference) on your phone when on the move and on your tablet for the reading room Don’t forget you can download a small free sample section to have a play and give the format a try.
