I’m no expert, but my thought would be that the diminished value would be at its peak in the near term and would be less of an issue several years and miles down the road. So, if you plan to keep the car a long time I don’t see it being more than 10% (provided there was no damage). But in the short term, you might have a rough time selling it for less than a significant savings over other cars in the market.

 

That's a real shame. Any car that does not have a clean Carfax is bad news especially if there was any paint work. I answered 10% reduction in the poll but that's conservative.
