Buying a new 992 from out of state dealer (shipping)

I live in the DC area but can’t seem to find any 992’s for what I’m looking for and any dealers I’ve contacted are saying 6-8 months minimum for delivery of a custom order. I do see plenty of new 992’s nationwide for what I am looking for but was wondering if anyone has feedback for how much it costs the dealer to ship the car and if it’s safe? (Meaning minimal to no damage during the shipping process). Thanks all.

I do not know why is it happening, but I have faced the same issue in Massachusetts. None of the dealers were having a proper 992, which I would really like. I actually had to order one from a certain dealer from New York(honestly, I do not remember the dealer). They asked me if I wanted to use their shipping services, however I didn't as it costs a fortune! So I actually called for the services of guardian auto trans port, and I have been really pleased. The price was ok, and the car was delivered in time, with no damages!

I have purchased many new cars from different states, I always try to include delivery when making the deal, 2/3's of the time the dealer included delivery to my driveway. I have also paid 3k to have a car shipping from left coast to right coast

Try David Soyk @gaudinporsche in LV. If he doesn't have an allocation he'll try his best to get one. Wherever you go, get all costs in writing. I made the mistake of simply concentrating on a discount and got lumbered with all kinds of last minute additions in CT (forced to have them "register" the car ((in AK) was a disaster and cost 3 times as much, lemon law, convenience fee....) and of course if you live like I do in a no sales tax state make sure they don't charge you State Tax as in CA. From CT in sealed container was 6 grand. I have one dealer in State and I won't deal with them.
