993 TT VS 993 TT Turbo S

i'm the same. my tts has 4400 miles but i won't baby it. i'll drive it anywhere and i'll drive it in the rain or any weather. i've never cared where i park any of my cars but i will say that the tts is about as special as they come looks wise. it just looks like the Porsche the original engineers imagined.
it's funny most guys are rolling to a gt3rs. i put 6000 miles on mine the first year i had it and it's still one of my favorites to drive.

The only other car I have seen recently that IMO, in addition to the 993 TTS, represents the epitome of Porsche engineering for the street is the 1994 964 Turbo S Flachbau. I saw a Pearl White one almost identical to a car that Steve (spg993tt) owned a while ago. It was parked in front of a strip mall not far from where I live. I almost crashed while craning my neck to stare at it!

TurboS are indeed rare and special to own. But that doesn't make a regular Turbo a "joke" or "average" car by any mean. All depends on how much you want to spend. I've seen 2-3K miles regular TT going for for as high as $90K and TTS with 30K miles selling as low as $85K. IMO, the S are that much as special because the regular TT are so well loved. For the price of an S I would rather buy 2 regular TT and drive/mods the **** out them. And if one really wants something truly special then one should buy a 3GT2 or a Ruf CTR-2..

average comment is simple. not that it's an average car but that it's the average priced 911. most new cars sell for 100k to 140k and most used ones sell for 30k to 80k. simple math makes a 70k average. that's it.
30k tts selling for 85k has been wrecked. not as new.
yes find me a 993gt2 streetable (about 6 left in the world) and I would love to have that in my garage. I looked and looked but couldn't justify the 300k plus sticker shock. they are the last bad ars porsche made. no questions asked.
Ruf CTR-2 just doesn't excite me only for the reason that I like stuff stock. It's cool and different and fast without question. It's just not something that will be in my garage ever.

Vincent,
Its a yellow CTR2 Sport.
8300 miles.
Ex Beddor car.
$230k.
Different than this one at Ruf Auto Centre. (Also a Beddor car)
http://www.ecarlist.com/cgi-bin/show...10715&d_id=947
Ill get some pics and post a thread about it once I go take a look at it. I can't wait.
Seems like a great price for a Sport.

The only negative aspect of owning a 993ttS for me is that I wouldnt let anyone even breath on it. I'd turn into Cameron's father from Ferris Bueller's day off, "who does he love? THE CAR!!"
