good deal on 993 turbo?
good deal on 993 turbo?
I found a 1995 turbo with 50k miles, black on black, fully loaded, which the owner swears has no accidents. He's asking 45k for it. I saw the car and its really clean. Carfax shows no priors. All the ones I have seen with that many miles go for way more. Is there something I should look for or any advice?
I'd probably buy the car, though. #1 you will have a hard time acquiring a 993 C4S with those miles for $40's so if you consider the color combo, which is nice, and then #2 the turbo-motor, it's worth the time and effort to REALLY CONSIDER buying the car. Get a VIN check on it. Should ge REALLY EASY to find out what it is.
If I still owned by 1998C4S I would probably have swapped a turbo motor into it, knowing what I know now.

Too bad it's not a 94 turbo, those were the baddest IMO. Somethings a little sketchy with that description, like they said, get the VIN do your research, maybe it's a 96, if so, buy that bad boy.

Price is good if it's the real deal (and in good shape). A RoW 993TT is fine but be sure to get the PPI. A minor problem can cost a fortune. If you don't get full records and a clean PPI, suggest you walk without regret.
Good luck.

Thanks guys, I asked the guy for papers to show maintenance history and the owner had nothing. I loved how clean it was, but I feel uncomfortable buying the car without some proof of maintenance and/or mileage. Something telling me there is an issue with the car.
A bit strange indeed. Trust your gut. An eager owner would at least direct you to the shop that's been doing the maintenance to vouch for the car. So the red flag's been raised. There are enough 993TTs out there and buying the wrong one will hurt your wallet. If it's too good to be true, then...
Hey, I think I found a really good deal on a 2002 Carrera GT. It is only $40,000. Check it out and let me know what you think. Is that a fair price for a 2002 CGT?

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but that's no CGT!
Whaaaa? I thought it might be RoW or something. Now I am worried that my 993 Turbo S may not be real, either:
