Black 993 Turbo at the Oakbrook, Il mall yesterday "Darth Vader"

I was at the Oakbrook mall yesterday and, while walking back to my car, came across a slammed black 993 Turbo with Ruf rims. It was just beyond mean looking at my dad and I gawked at it for a solid 5 minutes at least while my mother and girlfriend asked why I would be so worked up over a mid-90s model

The license plate said "Darth Vader" but in not as many letters ("DTH VADR "maybe). Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera. I was happy to see that somebody drives such a nice car for regularly duty - to a mall and parks it in the regular parking lot no less. My 3-series was parked further away!

Anyway, does anybody have some pictures of this beauty? Anybody know the owner?

Based on your description I think it's the same one that was for sale on eBay:

I've never understood this mentality. Newer does not necessarily mean better.

Likely true, but it's not only women who think that way.

Well it's certainly not my view - my two cars have a combined age of about 43!

Both my mother and girlfriend thought it was a great looking car but the age of it somewhat put them off. After seeing that Turbo, I'm feeling that there may be a 993 (non-Turbo for now) in my near future.

I have to say that the 993 looks so much nicer than the 996 or 997. Hoping
to buy one this coming spring.
