993 Turbo went 204 mph in Texas Mile
My buddies over on the 996TT forum said a Protomotive Built 993 Turbo went 204 mph in the Texas (standing) Mile. That is an insane amount of power from that air cooler powerplant !! wow. Who owns this car ?
Any pics or videos of it ??

Woodster, that's my car I built the engine and its a proto tune. the 203.9 was my only run after fixing a boost leak. So I probably could have done a little better. After looking over the data logs I lifted a little in 3rd trying to get the tires to hook and I had about 150 rpms left at the mile mark. i ran 20 psi for the run. I haven't seen any picture posted yet but soon they will show up on you tube. is a built engine with a k24 18g set up + water/meth. Tuned for pump gas.
lots of fun after I found the leak

I witnessed. Tacker had a group of cheerleaders in the pits. Lol. It was truly a great accomplishment.

Mike and I will have the same comp as Todd and you next event. It's funny.
thanks for all the praise.
The best part was meeting everyone and realizing your amonst a bunch of speed addicts. The good kind.
It's has been allot of work getting ready for the event and it was worth it I meet my goals and was able to drive my car on the trailer.
Only regret was not being able to find the boost leak before getting there and second guessing my instruments. After repairing the leak I busted the 200 mark.
I don't think I can get much more out of an 18g.
Again great to meet everyone.
I'm so impressed will the 996s. Just unbelivable power from a 3.8. This makes me wonder how much power can a aircooled make and reliably manage the heat. My wheels are turning.
