95' 993 radio- What were the options???
Hi guys was wondering if anyone knew for sure if Porsche offered a CD player for the 95 993 or if the changer was the only option. My fiance's father has a perfect 95 993 with just over 10K miles and it has an aftermarket radio. Granted the radio is probably better than the stock one but we took 2nd in a concours that we should of got first on. All help is appreciated!!!
Oh and if anyone is selling one, we are interested! Need the front speaker grills too!

It was a extra option like the CDC. I believe you needed the "Hi-Fi" option also for the cd deck. If your rear speakers have bumps in the grill, & you don't have the door pocket right under the door speaker, you have the Hi-Fi option.
My 95 C4 came with the CD headunit.

It will work, but there is some slight rewiring on the connector.

Zemdogg,
It's possible the aftermarket unit was installed to replace a factory cassette player as well. If your fiance's father unit is an Alpine 7807, I'd love to get a copy of the owner's manual for mine.
