verrryy nice 993 clubsport you have. it's a real beauty and looks very pure and purposeful while being streetable looking. the 997S looks fresh and clean design from the rear. but i do love the 993 styling even better!

may i ask what kind of specs you have on the 993? it's a 3.8 as seen on the Fabspeed webiste right? if so that car sounds killer!

Hi Kevin

HERE are the specifications on my 993 RS CS USA.

The 993 was bought brand new by me in July 2004. I tried to special order a 993 RS Clubsport from Porsche and called Special Wishes Sonderwunch department many times and got no where.......... and even got Jurgen Barth on the line........but ended up with a garden variety 993.

Undeterred- I build a 993 RS Clubsport and its FASTER than any 993 SUPERCUP 3.8L racecar.

Its on several VIDEOS on the Fabspeed.com website and I Club Race & DE the car and drive it on the streets on the East Coast.
No emissions inspection in PA if you drive <5000miles/year!
SPECIFICATIONS:
ANDIAL 3.8liter engine- balanced & blueprinted over 330HP
ANDIAL RS CS gearbox
Engine broken in on Porsche Motorsports North America Engine DYNO by Dieter Inzenhofer & Eric Bloss
Recaro SP seats 13lbs each Sabelt belts
Custom N4130 chromemoly rollbar-BKseatback brace
RS doorpanels & Lightweight carpet
993 RS CS engine& transmounts
993 SUPERCUP suspension with 993RSR factory antiroll bars
3 different Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust systems- mild to wild
AMB transponder- battery vutoff switch
993 RS CS SuperCUP factory front spoiler, side skirts, rear wing
lightweight hood. Front & rear Supercup tow hooks
993 RSR 993 GT2 front strut bar
993 RSCS front & rear big red brakes
ERP Porcshe RSR monoballs steel throughout suspension system
Camber plates front & rear
BBS RE lightweight wheels with 235/18 & 285/18 Michelin sportcups
Dual 993 SuperCup RSR style oilcoolers with Earls braided SS lineset

2850 lbs WET
==================================
I have 'spare' 993Twin Turbo engine & transmission sitting aroound ready for INSTALLATION-- if I want a 550HP 2850lbs car
THATS a power to weight ratio of 5.18lbs/HP. GOOD enough to with the Twin Turbo shoot out on the 996TT board

Is this correct? How did you find one that was still new?

Hope you enjoy them both!

sounds great 993RSClubsport. that thing must be a real pure and rewarding sports car, and a real beast. just curious, what do the Andial 3.8 Motors run? two of my friends are getting 993 Carreras and are possibly interested in the 3.8. thanks!

also, is 330 at the crank or at the wheels? and, any estimated performance figures? i am not really familiar with the 993s that much and let alone the Supercup race car. a newb question, but how much weight did you save, and what do you think are the most beneficial items for weight savings? my friends are autocrossers, mountain racers, and road racers, so weight savings and keeping it N/A is a huge plus. your car is quite an inspiration.

The power output was measured on the ENGINE dyno...........and its 295HP at the rear wheels on the local DYNO Jet and Dynapack.

I found some more power messing around with it in the meantime. You will spend $20- $25,000 for ANDIAL to do balance & blueprint & massage "everything". The 993RS is alot of fun and is my track car and streetcar. I dont think I will ever sell it..............its jsut too cool, fast and light. Wife thinks its too loud............but I just thrown on different mufflers and its relatievely quiet again.
If you need any advice on 993s just call anytime. I have tried everything over time on this car.

thanks for clarifying. sorry to bother you with questions, but i'm in love with this 993!

faster than stock 993 turbo in the straights? so somewhere in the 12's for the 1/4 mile i would assume? reason i ask is because friend has over 450hp at the motor in a 2700 lb. rx7, and he would like to keep similar performance figures, but have pure N/A tuning (realizing the respective limits of each type of tuning and machine). $20-25k, is that for a complete engine? how much would it cost to convert a regular 993 Carrera to specs like yours is basically what i'm asking? assuming without appearance mods, how much does it cost to have the motor and gearbox and the lightweight stuff? in other words...would it performance wise be a better option to buy a 996 GT3 to start with, say for $100k? thanks!

Hi, I have a question or two...

If you want to have a track-worthy suspension that's tunable at the track, but on a street-driven car, what have you found to transmit the most shock and vibration? I'll have to sacrifice some amount of performance to keep things bearable on the street, and that's okay. If I improve handling significantly over stock, and have adjustability to adapt to different tracks, that's a good goal. The extra shock of a full-race setup may destroy the streetcar ride and then I might as well ditch the streetcar and just get a dedicated track car--which I don't have intentions of.

Thanks for your input.

Shock and Vibration transfer-- the biggest and most severe THINGS that make noise, shock, and vibration ABSOLUTEY UNBEARABLE on 911, 964 and 993 cars is when someone replaces the 2 engine mounts in the back with SOLID Aluminum racing mounts and EVEN worse when they swap out the transmission mount to ALuminum race mounts. Next piece to rreally torture ones hearing & enjoyment is to Swap out the 4 quantity 993 engine cradle mounts to solid aluminum (thereby ditching the rubber mounts).

Absolutely terrible for any streetcar/and hardcore street track car clubrace car that is still driven on the street.

Makes driving on the street at any time just F-ing terrible.

On my car I installed 964RS 993RS engine & transmission mounts (harder durometer rubber) and they stiffen up the car BUT still absorb sound. I left the 4 engine cradle mounts stock.

Carrera CUP lightweight flywheel (17-19lbs light factory Porsche Motorsports 993RS part) rattles when out of gear................completely normal & customary on any 964RS, 993RS. Tolerable too.

Once someone installs the aluminum engine ^ transmission mounts in the car................its just crazy loud. The good parts is that it is so easy to RE-SWAP out racing engine/trans mounts and get the RS rubber mounts.

If you need more advice call or email.
Have a great day
Joe

Kevin,
Get into therapy as soon as possible. A good analogy would be comparing an 18 year old woman to a 30 year year old woman...which would you choose assuming both were beautiful. Down the street from me lives an ex Playboy centerfold model from the late 80s, next door lives a stunning 30 year old teacher. Which one would I hit.......I dream of this fantasy often. I have a 2006 997, but I would love a 993 to complete the perfect pair.
