Hi all, I'm a newbie so pls be kind. I have to stand right next to my 993 to get the remote to arm/disarm the alarm.
Yes, I have changed the battery in the fob and cleaned the terminals in fob.
Any suggestions?

 

I had the same problem, thought it was maybe the receiver or something... I searched around and found it works best if you hold the remote higher, such as up in the middle of the window... even as high as the roof, try to point it down or something. If you play around with it you can find a good spot. 993 remote just seems to have extremely low range. Anyone else find better solutions?

 

I have the same P, still LQQKing for a better solution.

 

Mine is the same, it doesn't matter what remote I use, the range is about 1m.

 

It must be a function of the specific frequency and potential interference from other devices. My remote works from 20-30 ft away.

 

thanks for all your feedback, guys. 3/4 with the same problem. hmmmm. bit disappointed.... my MkV golf works from 20 metres away.
