No ECU upgrades for air cooled?

I notice that there appear to be no advertised ECU upgrades for the 993. Mine's a 1997. Is this true or does nobody care anymore?

Check with Fabspeed. I have a UniChip piggyback on a 98 C2S custom dyno tuned and they were able to get 317rwhp out of her, street legal.

I originally bought the UniChip through TRG (The Racers Group). A shop in Sac did the custom Dyno tune. They spend an entire 8 hours doing it while I waited. The rest of the mods were purchased through Fab and EVOMS at the time...<2002ish...exhaust, airbox, BMC air filter, and suspension goodies.

I need to send mine in to get the clutch sorted. I'll add an exhaust then and have the ECU done if its still available. Thanks for the tip.

Oh yeah, I did Sachs power/performance clutch at the same time....forgot all about that...and upgraded to turbo clutch/bearing and some other stuff at that time. Will need to dig through receipts to see what we had all done.

K24madness is infamous around these parts
Protomotive still does upgrades on the 97 ECU. They can also code out the pesky air injection fault code.

There are a few "chips" out there, but it's actually a flash. As said the Unichip, Giac custom tune & some others. Call some local Porsche speed shops. You want this done locally.

Sadly, they are $1000+ & do like 8-10hp.

IMHO, the money is better spent on exhaust, RS pulley, & Motorsound airbox. If I were to chip my 97, I'd go fro the custom tune Unichip, as I change things, we can change the tune, & it will be maximized for the car.
