993 kill switch

A friend stores my 96 993 in his heated garage. This weekend he tried starting it not knowing about the kill alarm and seems to have rendered BOTH key fob inoperable. Is that possible? Any solutions or idea what the heck he did to kill two of them in a ten minute span.

Never heard of that before. But try over on rennlist.com. The 993 forum there is very active and full of experts.

I just bought one and had trouble with my only coded remote. It turned out to be the battery post wasn't strong enough on the battery to make excellent contact. Make sure the remote red light goes on when you push the button.
