i've been considering getting a 993 C2S or C4S, has to have less than 35k miles. what things should i look out for when inspecting the vehicle? and what can i expect in terms of maintenance costs?

or is there a website or a book someone can recommend where i can get these questions answered?

Rennlist has a great 993 board.
These are truly great cars. You will be buying rear tires twice as much as fronts. Maintenence costs are minimal in a well cared for car. You will be spending upwrds of $50k for one in the condition/mileage you are looking for.

i tested a 993 rs with gt2 kit. loved it. you feel as one with the car.

 

in my search for the right 993, i'm seeing a few cars advertised as having the "motor sound package." what is it? intuitively, i would think it would have something to do with funnelling some of the engine acoustics into the passenger compartment???
