Carseat in a 996TT?

Does anyone currently or in the past have a carseat for a toddler in the backseat? How about a toddler and a infant? with two adults in the front?

Our 5 year old sat with us this weekend -- our cab has less space than a coupe. It was a bit tight from the front passenger and for him (he was in a booster seat in the back). Fine for short trips, not so comfy for longer ones.

We did used to put carseats in the back of our old 996 cab but it generally makes the front seat unusable unless you have very small passengers.

I have a toddler seat in the rear, and sometimes an infant seat back there too. Forturnately wife is skinny enough to sit up front with the seat all the way forward.

Thank you for the replies everyone - for those that have the car seats now or are about to - can you post (or PM) me a pic, i'm realling wanting a 996TT coupe but it has to for short trips at least be able to carry myself, my wife my three yr old and possibly a newborn sometime in the not so distant future

i have the same dilemma, 03 996tt, 14 month old, finally located the tether anchors and tried installing a britax roundabout, did not fit perfectly. i am going to give the local police department a call and have them install it, they have done a great job on all our other cars. the tip i think is most important is to remove the bottom and back cushion on whatever side you elect to install the seat on, this gives you more room to position the seat at the proper angle. i just could not get it snug enough to consider it safe for our little girl.

for an infant (facing backwards) it is super tight. My passenger seat has to go really far fwd for it to work. For my 6 and 8 yr olds no problem, backless boosters fit fine

I was told no-way on the infant seat. Manual says you have to disable the airbag (dealer mod), and then you can put them in front. Now that he's 14months, i have a recaro seat that works in the back since he faces forward but it is a ***** to get him back there.

i will say, that the day he starts kicking the back of the passenger seat, is the day he stops riding in daddy's car until he learns the "respect a mans car" rule. :-)

Here he is in my caddy - same seat - no airbags - bigger sled. Comfortable.
