997 Tt

i got a phone call today from a dealership i inquired about a 2005 996 tt cab. he told me that they will not be making a special tt cab for the 996 in 2005 and that the 2004 will be the last year for the 996 turbo.

he then told me that there WILL be a 997 turbo AND turbo S based on the 3.8 liter engine and body of the new 997.

he said the approximate timeline for the turbo will be in about 1.5 years and the turbo cab in 2 yrs from now.

has anyone else heard the same?

autoweek May 17, 2004: turbo and C4S in 2006 and GT-2 and GT-3 997 in 2007. No more targa due to bad sales and difficult production process.

AeroTT and ttgangsta are SPOT ON CORRECT. Porsche does even know what they are really going to do. Hell, they haven't made final decisions on the current 997 interior yet! I just thought I'd stir the pot a little bit.

The 997TT will be added to the model line in 2006 and the 996TT will be made along side the 997 for 2005.

Would not make sense for Porsche to not offer the car they make the most money on
