Quick intro from Suncoast

Hey guys,

My name is Steve Russell and I'm from Suncoast Motorsports in Sarasota, FL (which you're probably all familiar with). For those of you that aren't, we specialize in finding and obtaining genuine Porsche/Audi/VW parts that may be hard to obtain the USA...or anywhere outside of Germany, if you know what I mean. We have access to all Porsche factory & Tequipment parts, and have great relationships with Evolution Motorsports, Champion Motorsports, GIAC, etc. We also started carrying Braille lightweight racing batteries. We're pretty excited about that!

Anyway, I'm going to be on these boards quite a bit, so if anyone has any questions about parts, part compatibility, in-states availability, our operations, or anything really, I'll be the forum liason for you all. Also feel free to call or email me. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your cars!

We actually do have aftermarket iPod connectors for the Cayenne's. They're from Nav-TV and will work for 2005+ Cayenne's w/ PCM. The PCM headunit will control the iPod itself. It does take the place of your CD changer if you have one, so you will lose that ability if you have it (but who needs a CD changer if you have an iPod?).

They're not on the website yet, we're currently doing a pretty big overhaul to upload some of the newer toys we've gotten in lately.

I forgot to mention, if you guys wish we carried a certain part you don't see on our site, just let me know, we probably have it, or can get it. And if you have any requests for a Group Buy, I'm your guy to come to. I'll probably be able to work out something really sweet for you.

I not interested in the after market one. I can't justify the kit, being that it costs more than the ipod itself. I know the factory announced a cable a few months ago that would allow you to hook an ipod up to the PCM unit. Any word on that one?

Ahh, the OEM one....last I heard they're still in R&D and production. Once Porsche sends out a bulletin with an update on the iPod connections to the PCM unit, I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks Steve,

Aaron from Suncoast helped me find a new set of 996Turbo hollow spoke stock rims I put on my 993TT and the price was half of the factory list price.

Haha, Aaron says, "Tell Dr. Pettee I say 'Hi!'." We're able to get pretty outstanding prices on everything and really would like to pass the savings along to you guys. We're as much enthusiasts as anything else. We are always working on a project car, setting up events, crashing into cones at local autocrosses, etc. Pretty much 4 guys in an office trying to be part of the Porsche community!

Welcome and good luck.

Do you have any resonably priced solution to the outdated and non upgradable NAV system for a 2002 996TT?

Hmmmm....I'll have to check in the morning. As far as I know, we only have the OEM PCM replacement for '02-'04 996's. I'll PM you with some options in the morning.
