EVOMS Water Cooling Kit

Is anyone using this kit? Feedback? It is priced at $995.00. Is this a fair price for the hardware? Any alternatives?

Im sure Evoms stuff is good.....
I have not seen a pic.
Mine is relatively cheap.... just some bonjo fittings(4)... some clamps... 4 rubber heat resistant hoses and some other minor fittings. Some teflon tape is required etc.
My set up requires drilling into the block where the water goes...

Really,no drilling with my kit,the Evo kit taps into the heater supply and return lines under the tranny.

It may be a similar spot... not sure... but here is a pic... I'm sure it can be done with more high end line etc.

Similar junction blocks but the Evo kit does not get drilled into the water pump tube (you just cut into existing hoses with two blocks similar to yours above in the last pic)also the ends on the Evo kit has no clamps because they are pre cut and fitted with compression fittings already pressed on.Sorry ,I don't have a pic,but the turbos do need to be removed(if already installed)in order to install and tighten the banjo fittings to the turbos.

Yeah the inner bonjo fitting other then that it could be done on the car. I just redid everything myself inclufing swaping out the turbos so its fresh to me LOL
Do you guy use restrictors on the oil feed line going into the turbo? Normally Garrett recommends using these little fittings for oil restriction... BB turbos do not require as much OIL supply as stock.

The EVOMS products always look good.
Looks like a nice set-up.

Looks like I will need something like this for my turbos...

The Garrett CHRA has water cooling as an option on the sleeve bearing turbos and is standard on the bb turbos. The GT28/KKK hybrids have water cooled Garrett CHRAs.
KKK does not have a water cooled option on their turbos, but Kevin (UMW) made a prototype water cooled KKK center housing and posted about it on Rennlist. Water cooling is certainly a good thing but it is not necessary. It provides additional measure of reliability for the turbos and that is all. Has anyone ever heard of a KKK unit going bad? It is a very rare occurrence.

On the BB turbos it really is essential for longevity. The bearing races are easily damaged due to excessive heat and need to be kept under 375 degrees which the oil alone cannot do under all circumstances especially during shutdown.

That's true, thanks for clarifying that Joe. I was referring to the KKK CHRAs. The bb turbos are all water cooled.

I think it really only becomes a problem when running the turbos at or close to their max efficiency levels.........for example on a GT700 with a pump file or under 1.4 bar it wouldn't be a problem especially if you let the turbos cool properly before shutdown. Those that track often and push the boost level at the drags I would definitely recommend it.

Alternatives, Yeah a good speed shop that have many turbo cars and know there S**T. It cost me 400 installed(w/ parts) to water cool my turbos.
