Considering Techart Race Exhaust. 60mm or 70mm pros/cons which better?
I am considering the Techart Race Exhaust. The exhaust is offered with either 60mm or 70mm piping. Which should I get? Which will give more hp gains and not inhibit other mods? Which will offer most low end and midrange hp and torque? Any issues. Experts please help out! Thanks
BTW, I plan on trying to get to 650rwhp if that matters. What if car left stock same choice?

For turbocharged motors, the single largest restriction IS your turbo. As I understand it, for power output, you ideally want everything post-turbo to be as wide open as possible.
Recalling back to my flow-analysis courses, an ideal exhaust would in fact gradually increase in diameter as you leave the source. I suppose if someone bolts on a race cat, and from there, attach a mendre-bentl horn that gradually exits at the bumper, that'd be optimal.
Keep in mind, this is not the case with NA or supercharged motors, as exhaust tuning becomes a factor.
Incidentally, some states (not sure if all), a turbo actually is considered a muffler (exhaust muffling divice). So, for instance, if you were to get pulled over run'n an open exhaust post-turbo, you can legally point to your turbocharger and identify it as a muffler. You'd most likely fail the db test though.
