Track Prep

Going to the 1/4 mile tonight. I know there has been a thread about it but I hate bringing up threads from the dead! I'm going to try to baby the car out of the hole because I tried launching on the street the other night at 3k and it blew through the clutch.

What kind of tire pressure should I set the front and back at?

How much race gas do I mix with my new GIAC race file? I plan on having about a 1/4 tank of pump gas and then mixing 5-6 gallon of VP104 in?

Follow up question, how exactly does the Flashloader work? Do I just plug it in and pick "Race" and it loads the race file and shows a light next to it when its done?

I plan on trying a few different shifting methods. I really just want an 11.9 out of it but hopefully it will do more, since it did a 12.0 with the ****ty upSolute tune (or lack there of a tune )

Powell,

Yes on the flash loader, It will tell you what file you are in and then just punch
race file. On your stock street tires run about 22-24 lbs in the rears and 32 in the fronts. Remember to turn OFF PSM. It is so easy to forget!!!

Good luck,

MK

Thanks Marty! I have forgotten PSM once or twice. Really screws your launch up! LOL!!

How much race gas should I mix in. My plan is to put 5 to 6 gallons of 104 on top of a 1/4 tank of gas. Thought about also adding Octanium (Simba tested it on the forums, picked up exactly what it was suppose to) as an added bonus so it makes sure the octane is about ~104 total.
