$6K budget Modifications
Suspension (only thing I miss not having on my car at the moment)
FVD Flash & DVs
BMC Air Filter
Exhaust -used
And with what you have left over, buy a digital camera and get someone to take a pic of your face when you jump back in the car for the first time.

I did the following mods for the following prices:
Maxspeed Motorsports headers + exhaust $2500
Maxspeed Motorsports diverter valves $235
BMC air filter $200
FVD stage 2 ECU flash $1500
Install $800
TOTAL: $5235 total
Smile on my face: PRICELESS
The car has SOOO much power and so much pull! And sounds great. Much better than stock.

Thanks!
Not so much concerned with what I would. However, if i were to post...
GT3 seats $2700
harness and bits (what about the cage? $800-$1500 installed) ($250 harnesses)
Helmet to match the car color. (you can't just have one helmet, can you?) (yes you can have just one helmet)
Battery replacement (about $450 for a lighter one with a trickle charger, if you are not going for weight savings, keep the stocker)
2WD conversion $300 (I think)
Remove rear seats $0 (DIY)
Then if I could squeek enough out of this limited budget I'd buy a set of GT2 wheels and slick rubber to wrap them in.
Then again, I'm a Lotus guy at heart so I am biased toward the "add lightness" side of things.

I would at least get a flash. And if you plan on ever taking it to the track, H&R or GT3 rear sway.
Well, to fit my needs, the car is fine stock. I have a track car, but of course that car fits an entirely different part of my driving life. Maybe your right. since this car woul dbe a different part of my life, rainy day track and freeway screamer, maybe I'd want even more power? As for the RUF kits, it's amazing the prices they have sometimes, much lower than I thought they'd be. Nothing of interest over there the last few weeks though.
Did anyone read this but me? The guy wants the car to handle and maybe track it on rainy days, all that power is only going to make it a hazard.
And the first post he said he was more interested in the weight loss aspect as well.
Man, the crack (hp) pipe sure has some people seeing cloudy around here.
There are theories, but no solid evidence. It will likely be easier to launch
because of the difficulty of launching the Porsche AWD, but anything beyond that is speculation.
Get some BBS Motorsports Aluminum wheels - GT2 spec. and a set of Toyo RA1 - 245/40/18 and 335/30/18. Then get a used set of the new generation JIC/Cross coil-overs and lower the car. Stick a GT3 sway bar on the back. This will give you the equivalent 'performance gain' as 200HP, but in a different way. I hope that makes sense.
