Clutch DIY
I stayed with my car when they changed the clutch without dropping the motor ,I have the FVD LWFW SACHS clutch, took about 8 hours, not tricky if you ask me but it's a lot of work.Don't worry about the LWFW , my car drives like stock clutch just a little rattle from the LWFW,not bat at all..
$2000 for the LWFW kit from Kevin at UMW and $900 for the install. Sam called today around 1630 and told me its all ready. A day early. Free ride to the airport and on time service at a great rate. WOW!!!
How do you like it?
The driveability is better than stock, IMO. The noise was cool for about an hour, but I think its going to be something that I have to get used to. The car revs in neutral much faster. Now when blipping the throttle for downshifts, the rpm goes about 2500 RPM higher than needed.
I haven't put the srews to it yet, still have 120 miles to go for the bedding in. Then I can do roll on's. After 500 1/4 mile launches would be okay to do.
I was planning on reserving judgement for about a week, but honestly, so far I am extremely happy.
