Ron (RT7) is looking down on us today
OMG he and I spoke just a while back... we actually kept in touch regularly...
I also did not know he was sick.
May he rest in peace.

Jesus, another quality 6 member lost. May he rest in piece...
Having had cancer myself, and losing my grandfather to it, any loss of life to this disease hits me pretty hard. I hope his family was able to be by his side during his final hours.

Holy ****... I am speechless. WOW. It was just last year that Ron, MetalSolid, derek, ezmoney888, my sister and I had a caravan up to the Monterey Concours weekend. I remember he was driving the Protomotive tuned 996TT and had his small kids in the back and his wife in passenger seat. He was really the nicest and most pleasant guy ever. I also remember sitting by the pool and tanning up a sweat by the St. Regis pool after a 6Speed brunch in Laguna Niguel. The world has truly suffered a loss today, but heaven has gained a wonderful soul. God bless and may he rest in peace!

Ron had pancreatic cancer and had been ill for about a year, but was not diagnosed until early this past summer. Even though he was going through this he was always in good spirits and was very strong. His wife would say, 'When his car buddies show up he perks up and has a much better day'.
I know some of you had visited him, so I say 'Thank you'.
Early this week a group of us went to visit, and Ron wanted to know if our cars were there, and they were. He wanted to go out and see them but was to ill to go out. So we lined up the car a took a pic for him. As we did, we rev'd our engines. When we got back in his home, he named off the cars, in the order we started our cars. Always the car nut.

Since this forum has several thousand members, the odds are that they are a few of us like Ron. It really puts life into perspective; post diagnosis and treatment!
I did not know he was sick. He was always a great person to me and people I know. Ron was the first person I met from this forum and he hooked me up on another forum as well. I didnt know him well, but I knew him enough to know the kind of person he was.
RIP Ron
You will be missed
