Diverter Valves

Hello All,

We recently did a customers car ,996TT X50,with a reflash and some other goodies.

While we had the car on the dyno we could not figure out why this car would not hold boost. We switched boost hoses, f-hose, checked vacuum lines.

We were at the point of sending off the ECU to have it checked as we could not figure out why the car would not hold boost.

The customer had just purchased some valves from another company and he swore it could not be those.

So after some more time spent we decided to put a tried and true set of Forge valves in it just to test. Although the customer said it would not work........ BAM held boost PERFECT. The other valves had a very weak spring and just could not hold boost well at all.

I also wanted to add that you will notice that the boost held and there was not a great power increase. This is due to the fact that this customer was running this car on race gas and was at the max these turbos will put out on our dyno. Effciency is maxed out.

Just a tid bit of info for you guys. I really enjoy technical posts and will continue to update with everything that we test here at Vivid Racing.

Thanks for reading,

Mitch Mckee

We just left the stock ones. I believe they are green in color.
