Thumbs up reassurance please :)

I just picked up some 19'' HRE542R and decided that was going to be all I needed to make me happy... after researching and cruising the forums, I feel the need to tune up my car since everyone on the forum has increased performance over stock.

I just spoke with a great guy Jeremy from ImagineAutoInc. on the phone and decided to go with the IA 996TT Stage II (GIAC Flash, Fabspeed Gen III Exhaust, X50 tips, EVO diverter valve, K&N intake, + EVO Headers). I just want some opinions of whether it was money well spent. I'm pretty confident it is based on the credibility that I hear about IA, and their customer service (talking to Jeremy), but I'm also very inexperienced with fixing up turbo cars, let alone Porsche. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions.

IA is a great shop with an excellent reputation. I live fairly close to their shop, and I went there to have my Stage 4 kit installed. They took great care of me and my car, and they totally transformed my car...it is a freaking monster now with 600+ HP. You will be happy with IA.

Another victim of sixspeed mod-itis. Just wanted rims in the begining, ended up going Stage 2 after reading the board....same thing happened to me
You did the right thing IMHO.

Imagine Auto is phenomenal. You will not be disappointed, but you have started down a dark path . . .

Bryant,

Those HRE's are really nice lightweight wheels. They came of my car originally and i bought the car from Jeremey (Dice996c4) in LA.

As for the tune - yes the stage2 kit makes a big difference, although from what i've been told (and i would really be happy to be corrected here) the headers don't make any difference with k16 turbos but i'm told the EVO intake makes a difference. I'm sure IA can offer much more wisdom, but i would be very interested to learn more...

Cheers,
Boris

Talking Lol

thank you all for your reassurances. as for the headers, i wanted it because it's supposed to help spooling time and also mainly because I wanted to have a head start/have a reason to upgrading to Stage IV (adding the k24 turbos and GIAC flash) when I have enough money/credit.

As for Edwin... you started me off on this frenzy... hahahaha. I just wanted some wheels and tires... and now... I had to increase my credit line to add more power to my P! Thanks Edwin! You're an awesome guy. Send me the tracking number for the wheels when you get a chance!

Why start there? Just go to a 700 package. You will want it in 6 months anyway. Don't waste your time and money.
