Window will not go up?

Every time I put the passenger window up (on automatic) it goes up all the way, but once it closes, it opens up again (in the same way it would if it closed on your fingers)... is there a quick fix, or do I have to bring it to the dealership?

Thnaks

The Window thinks the door is open.

Try this:

Open the door.

Remove the negative battery cable.

Wait 10 minutes.

Reinstall the negative battery cable.

Close the door.

I've noticed that, after removing the battery cable... the windows "recalibrate" themselves.

Just a guess... but it may work for you.

Another thought is that this is something which can be calibrated by using a PST2.

Kind Regards,

Joe West

Thanks... I will try that... what I might be thinking is that something is blocking the window... so when it hits the thing thats blocking it... it goes back down

Once you do the above, you must manually activate the windows up and down three times before the auto up/down memory comes back.

Yes, you will have to re enter your code back in. Very easy to do.

It is called a PCM code. It is a four digit number.

I've never had to enter a code after disconnecting the battery... perhaps vehicles with the factory nav system are different?

I have disconnected the battery many times with no nav system and have never had to enter a code.
