Power steering pump

Hello,

I got a 01 turbo, I found the power steering reservior in the front trunk is gushing out oil. The local repair guy told me tha I have to replace the P/S pump. Can any one tell me where is the P/S pump loacted on a 996 trubo? and do I have to take off the gear box to replace it? I don't really have a dealer near me, so hope you guys can help me, thanks in advance!

Michael

Don't jump to Remove and Replace the PS Pump. Search the forums here and rennlist. Here is one that may help: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...+steering+pump

The pump is located on the engine, see attached pdf of the pump and oil tank.
