Tinted windows keeps your car cool. Here in Cali it makes a big difference.

 

I think people that don't tint there windows on nice cars look like nerds, and/or geezers! I just think it is something that the car should come from the factory with. And personally I don't want people to see who is driving the car, except dim ho's. Dat's why da ma ****in' windows be rollin' down do.

Looks, sun protection, privacy.

 

Tint completes the look of the car. It makes it look slick and finalized. Seeing the person driving it distracts from the overall appearance of the car.

 

In the summer heat it makes a big difference, plus it protects the interior of the car from UV damage.

 

I tint my windows for privacy, and looks. I dont like tinted windows on older cars. My Boxster and X5 are tinted very dark and my 70s MGB are not tinted at all.

Some people in countries where kidnapping is a way of life, even tint the front one !! It's for security reasons. So the bad guys can't tell if it's you or your bodyguards driving that car. And yes, even super cars.
Others, in some small towns, so the wife (or her friends) can't tell they have another gal in the car.
