Sorry to hear this, but even I would "lawyer up". Your costs up front will significantly reduce your overall costs. My V1 is a permanent fixture in my car unless I'm doing a DE, and I agree with the others that my overall average road speed has dropped since doing DE days (interesting). Good luck.

Just some actual facts to clear up all the chatter previous:
100+ is a misdemeanor, and the officer is supposed to take you straight to jail, no questions asked.
Rescheduling this item will not let it dismiss. This is a serious offense, not just a regular speeding ticket.
Your insurance will be quite adversely affected.
With that, your best bet is to retain an attorney if you can, which will already help considerably with your leniency from the judge. With proper negotiation, it should be able to be reduced to something equivalent to a standard speeding violation. This will help immensely with your future insurance issues.

A friend of mine got a ticket 3 months after he turned 16. When the officer pulled him over he said "I was doing 130 and you were pulling away from me." He wrote him up for 110 in a 50, no front plate, and a few other things. His parents had to pick him up at the station. My friend (who admits he was not mature at the time and this was a few years back) with the help of a lawyer had all tickets dimissed by taking defensive driving. He was on a rural road doing probably around 145.

22348b is an infraction.
23103 is a misdemeanor.
Know the difference between the two? If you don't, please shut it.

PCA holds one every month at Eltoro. The problem is you will never see the north side of 60MPH. Do what I do. I like racing cars from 0-80MPH. Rarely do I see 100MPH, but only when I have surveyed the road and am sure the MAN is not around. You can accomplish this by having three or more cars with 2 way radios keeping an eye on the roads ahead. Also stay in the same area and know where the MAN likes to hide.

Worse of all, a 22348b conviction means you get really really screwed by the 3 and 5 year provision. If you get convicted again for 22348b within 3 year of this baby, it's 6 month suspension, and within 5 years, 1 year suspension.
Talk to Stan and see if he can get you out of it, otherwise, say hello to 99.999999mph driving for the next 5 years.
Oh, and take some DE's before you get somebody killed.

Stan is not cheap, and has a rather unorthdox feel to him, but he is VERY effective. If the ticket was under 100, you'd be in a different world and I'd advise you to do a write-in, appear if you lost on that, and then just take traffic school if you lost at the appearance, etc. The over 100 cite is a whole different world. Also, if Stan can get you an offer of a lesser charge (i.e. under 100)--plead to it.

Been following the thread, and some of the misunderstanding arises from the concept that the officer can decide what section you violated. The same act (speeding over 100) can be written under to different sections of the vehicle code- with different legal ramifications
