Sorry, just saw this now.... I will make a full report in about 2 weeks.

The car we installed this kit on is currently running in the Cannonball One Lap of America. We weren't able to test as extensively as I would have liked due to time limitations.

I will say this...on 5 back to back dyno pulls we only lost ~5 horse power due to heat soak. Its not uncommon to see 20+ horse power loses on similar tests with out water injection. I was also easily able to run 3-5 degree of timing more through out the whole power band....this net'ed very very nice gains.

More to come soon .

We have it on 2 996's, but due to time limitations we weren't able to tune before and after. We only tuned with the system installed.

OneLap996TT is on a distinguished road
Hey, I'll pipe in on this thread. One of the cars that Tony tuned with WI was mine. I can say, without any doubt, that the WI made a huge improvement in the track performance of my car. When Tony tuned the car, peak whp really didn't increase much, if any. At first I was disappointed. But what did change, and this is what made a incredible difference, was the engine made it's max hp from 4500 rpm straight to 7000, almost a completely flat line on the dyno chart. So you might look at it like this, even though the peak hp didn't change, the power didn't drop off like it used to, so the average hp over the entire rpm range increased dramatically. The two things that can be attributed to this improvement is the WI, and Tony's custom tune using the WI to it's fullest potential.

Is there any more conclusive data on our cars using water/meth injection especialy in hot climates? Any updates? Doesn't seem like anyone or many are using it on our cars.

The car that ran the ONE LAP didnt like the Water Injection too much. The fragility of the MAF sensors in the TT may make this a bad idea.

it said that "keep it simple" is the best solution to everything.
I rather spend a little more on good gas and not mess with water or meth...
just my opinion.

Why would having Meth injection have any affect on the MAF?

The MAF failures on the one lap car were entirely unrelated to the water injection.

The water is injected a few inches before the throttle body and has no relation to the maf.

The Maf's "issues" on the 1 lap car was related to boost level and the evo airbox.
