Shopping for a 996 TT is this a good deal?
I've been actively shopping for a 996TT recently and I haven't found exactly what I want yet (X50 /6-speed & PCCB) but I've found an OK car at a Dealer and I've got a deal on the table for $66K+tax&fees (~$73k) OTD on a Silver/Black 03' 996TT manual with 36.5k miles with CPO but not many options, I'm wondering if I should take that deal or keep looking. I would like to know what the current Manhiem numbers are on that car because the Dealer claims they're not making a profit and supposedly can sell it for $67K at the auctions (which obviously I don't believe) but If someone can help I'd apperciate it. Also I've seen a nicely modded one not to far away from home with a GT700 kit for about ~$70k w/48k miles. The thing is people (friends with 996tt's ) say to stay away from Porsche without a CPO. My current budget is ~$70k- OTD and I don't know if I should bite the bullet on the stock one or not. Also if I were to buy a "modded" Turbo is it possible to get any kind of decent warranty anywhere? I've seen a couple ones that are fairly stock but no warranty which is keeping me away from private parties. Any help or input would be apprecitated thanks. Also if anyone in LA can buy autos at auction I'd like you to contact me as well. Thanks

My friend has a 15K miles on rare white 2001 with the full blown 750 hp protomotive set up.... the only car that has a K24/20G custom turbo... $6K went into custom tuning alone... I mean dyno/street over 3 days.... no joke... This car has not lost to any other car in Tulsa.. and has beat cars with 900 rwhp...
This car is very very special and the owner is a Porsche freak.. he has 4 other Porsches one with over 900 rwhp.
I think he wants $82K... or $80K wiithout the HRE comp rims and tires.
This build is $35K alone. and it has barely 1500 miles on it.
car was never scratched nor repainted... not one panel.
it also ran low 10s trapping 139 mph...
if ur serious this is the car to buy. I ran against it and I have another 200 hp and I had a hard time in 3rd gear.. no joke.

I think it is a pretty decent deal. I just got mines 03 X50 6-sp PCCB Slate Grey and some other options and I paid more than that. But that's just me as I am willing to pay a little premium to get the color and option package that I am looking for.
