more turbo production???

I just got called by my local dealer and they told me they had a new turbo in. when I showed up there were 3 turbo cab tips and a hard top?

they told me they got new ownership and porsche was trying to help them out to a good start. also saw 2 z8s in the bmw section.

Is this a trend, or an exception? I was at another dealer and happened upon a gt3 (another unexpected allocation).

anyone know what's going on

Geoff,
sadly but true. when i was looking for a allocation to build a GT3 back in March i couldn't find any. according to dealers all the incoming cars are pre-sold. however, recently i've found at least 9 GT3s the color i wanted not to mention the colors that i'm not interested. also, my dealer did call & tell me they have a allocation for 05 already & every dealer got at least 1 (yeah right that means 5 later! )

looks like the market is flooded again!

I've also been looking for a GT3 for the past few weeks and there are a lot more available than dealers would have you believe. Not only that, but every one of the 6-7 dealerships that I talked to have at least one upcoming build date available.

One dealer offered me a new GT3 at $2k below MSRP and if I didn't want that one they would trade for the one I want and give me the same deal.

I negotiated with another dealer on one that I was lukewarm about (wrong color for me), but he wouldn't come down enough to close the deal.

I'm thinking that the deals will only get better when the 997 rolls out and it may make sense to get an '05 and spec it the way I want.
