Red Gauges Availability

Does anyone here know who would have top quality red gauges available for a 2004 Turbo? I am having a tough time finding them. I would also prefer them to have the "turbo" script, but if not, that is also okay.

I just got the aluminum faced gauge cluster and it had "Turbo" on the speedo. This is an OE part though. The gauge cluster is about $ 1,900.00 through Porsche, but you may be able to get a discount on it. I am sure you could get the red pretty easily as they do red guages and those guage cluster are also prone to being replaced. The OE looks awesome.

BTW, if you are having spoiler light issues, that is a good time to upgrade the guage cluster to a colored one with the Turbo written on it. I ended up paying $ 500 for the difference between black face guaged cluster and the aluminum with no charges for installation cost.

Post up a picture of the guage faces for $ 430.00. My dealer is not real knowledgeable when I start asking him questions about techquipement upgrades. I was curious if it would have been cheaper than $ 500 for me to just buy colored guage faces instead of paying for an upgraded instrument cluster, but the faces we found did not have "Turbo" in them. Doesn't mean they don't exist, I am just curious because my service manager couldn't find them.

BTW, are the $ 430 faces OE. Not that I would have cared, but that could explain why my guy couldn't find them. My service department is great, I just don't live in an area where people spend alot on cars and do a whole lot of moding.

Here's what I do know....The faces come from Germany. The dealer puts the turbo insignia on. I am not sure if they are OEM or not. The red faces I have seen had white lettering. These have black (which I think will look much better). I will not commit until I see a picture, but the price is certainly OK. Suncoast charges $150 for install (which is extremely reasonable). Champion wanted 252.50. This IS NOT a DIY project from what many have told me. Too many things can go wrong and then you need a new cluster.

Heard the same thing and that install price sounds very reasonable. I will have my car back on Monday hopefully and will be happy to post a picture of the new dials with the "Turbo" on it if you want to compare.

My dealer accidentally ordered the aluminum culster because I had the aftermarket trim rings on mine and he thought that was OE . . . I was hesitant about getting the new cluster. I, however, did see it installed Wednesday or Thursday and it looked absolutely awesome. I have to say it looked a little different to me (maybe due to "Turbo" or maybe due to the aluminum shade of the face color) than the photos of the scriptless aluminum guage faces that were posted under my thread last week asking for pictures.

BTW, you may have already seen this, but this is that GT2 with red guages that was on here,

Here is another one.

I agree that black might look better, but might be more difficult to see.
