I drive my TT daily about 50 miles and half in traffic. I have the lumbar support and it has been great for my back. I used to have an A6 and the TT is better for my back.

my sister in law drives her boxster daily also, that includes a daily commute from OC to LA

Are you both saying the TT is not a comfortable ride for, say, 60 miles on the freeway? As long as it is between the Boxster and my E500, I'll be happy. [/B]
60 miles? Piece of cake--I regularly drive my Turbo non-stop for 3 hours from Dallas to College Station (a little over 200 miles), and I'm in GT3 seats and have ROW suspension to boot.

In stock seats, I could drive all day, without any complaints. I cannot speak to E-class cars, since I've never driven any. They may well be "more" comfortable freeway drivers, but a 996 TT being anything less than comfortable, has never been an issue for me.

I have a Boxster S also--and I'd drive either for any distance. In fact in some ways the Turbo's more comfortable than the Boxster--e.g., more front seat leg and head room.

E500/RS6/996TT

Since I presently have these 3 cars, here is my opinion:

996TT is the best car I have owned. I love it. In terms of performance, nothing out there except exotics can beat this car in acceleration, handling etc.

RS6 is the closest 4-door sedan I have driven that comes close to feeling like a 996TT. In terms of outright performance, it will have its *** handed by a 996TT stock. That being said, it is the only sedan I feel that can keep up in the dry AND wet.

E500 is boring. With a 996TT and RS6, the E500 feels sloppy and not alot of fun to drive in the wet or dry.

If you need a sedan, the RS6 is the closest thing to a Porsche sedan before the real things arrives.

In regards to E55, I drove that too. Basically, a very powerful E500 with too much power for its chassis.
