It all comes down to budget and goals. If you want 700hp, go with the 24/18g but be prepared to pay about $12k+ (turbos $3k, software $3k+, fueling - at least $6k).
If you want 600hp, go with K16/16g. Nothing will spool faster than a K16/16g and you can do the whole upgrade (compressor upgrade w/ wastegates, 5bar fpr and tune) for less than what just the software will cost for the K24/18g.
You said you're more concerned with low end and mid range grunt than top end, so it's your call.

Here is a 18g dyno with the full set up.... not too shabby I must say....
You get what you pay for. The nice thing about the 18gs is that you can always expand.
The 16gs are a nice set up though....

you've got too much stuff (upgrades) to stick with SMALL turbos at this point. I'd definitely do the 24/18's if I were going to spend the money right now. pointless to go with 16G's when your marginal output might not get you anywhere from where you are at now. with the 24/18's you can always add boost later for more power. 16g's will be immediately maxxed out

Thanks man.....much obliged!
