Its real hard to put a hp number when there is so many factors. boost/cfm's of boost/which gas/what you are revving to/ list goes on and on. What is the weak link in these motors? rods? pistons? cly walls?. I am new to porsche motors but far from new when it comes to building vw's and audi motors.

And of course you have the variability of all the components... not every rod fails at X pounds.... some of it will be the 'luck of the draw' on your particular motor.

(You feeling lucky punk?)

Like some said it really depends... I have seen guys blow up motors with 600 hp and I have also seen guys with 800 hp NOT blow the cars up.... all on stock internals....
Due diligence and common sense usually plays a big part....
a good rule of thumb is not to go past 600 rwhp on stock internals... but then even if u are running the same car at 550 rwhp on bad gas and the car leans out... you may hurt the motor.
