Haven’t heard anything in a long time regarding several BIG HP cars . . .
It could definitely be done. You just adapt the engine harness to be controlled by the Motec, and leave the rest of the car to run as it was. Only things you might lack is the Nav functions and maybe the digital portions of the dash but those can be worked around as well.
By the way, my ATS clutch seems great! I would like to compare it to your new Tilton clutch when you guys come. Just a few more miles to complete the break end period then off to dynos!!!

With that said, I still have yet to see a functional 996TT that is not a race car running on a Motec... including power windows, ac, etc...

I have had MoTeC on an Audi RS4 that ran air con, power windows, complete dashboard etc etc. Why is the 996tt such a problem? Has anyone talked to MoTeC?
It's not a problem, just would take a few days time. Took Darin @ Titan all of 2 days to have a plug and play solution for me when I wanted it, just a matter of cross referencing the schematics and terminals if you wanted it plug and play, or having Motec USA draw you up a custom wiring harness.
Not on this car, don't have the same desires with this one as I did with my Supra, but if I wanted an all out straight line car it would definitely have one.

call Todd and ask him... as a matter of fact Motec back in 2004 was surprised that Todd got it work... back in California... but he gave up the project due to complications...
As easy it may be on Supra's and other cars it simply is not the case on the TTs... if it would have been I would be first in line to use this technology...

Trust me when I tell you it is not a few days of work as you say it is... not on a TT and not with one that has power windows and a/c etc...

It literally took Darin 1-2 days from the day we said "wow plug and play motec is a good idea" to have it fully working and running, now there are 15-20 cars running this setup so it seems common place. I'm sure he could do similar on the Porsche's given someone wanted the investment and had the time/monetary resources to do so. I'm not intersted in it, nor have I researched it. Does the Porsche engine computer really handle the ECU and window functions, or are these just wires interlaced in the same wiring harness? Keep in mind since 2004 as well many of the updates (development of the i2 software). Anything is possible, just takes the will-power. If there is demand, there will be a solution. Just like the Tilton, I've heard all of this board how it doesn't work, yet after a few weeks working with Tilton, suddenly I have a running car in the garage that I can drive to the grocery store as easy as a Honda Civic, who would have thought.
