Clutch is slipping!
It should be released by Texas. I have the 2nd revision in my car right now, the only thing we are waiting on is the heavier flywheel. The current lightweight version drives fine, and we had a custom release bearing created made for Pentosin fluid that will now be included with the kit as well. I drove the car to work today and it drove great. The ATS is a great choice as well, if you need something here and now.
Just talked to Tommy...he is giving me a KILLER deal on the ATS...I promised to do a write up on 6 speed.
Tommy has a stellar rep as a mechanic in the Supra world and this is a good way for him to start making a name in the Porsche universe.

Try my ATS clutch, Call Akram and take it for a drive! Hmmm how can someone like a Tilton without ever driving one in a Porsche?? Just curious to know the reasoning behing it? You will hate the stage 4 clutch, I had it and you have about 1 inch of play.. basically on or off.

Clutchmasters heat treats the PP and relocates the fulcrum for easier pedal effort combined with increased clamping force. From what I have heard, it is usually done on the Sachs Motorsport "999" pressure plate, which is a heavier clamping OEM style PP to begin with...I am not sure if they can do it to the stock PP or not, but a call to Clutchmasters would let you know. They are very good to speak with and seem to be extremely knowledgeable.
They are actually recommending this for my 700 (with the "999" PP)...but I am still a little concerned with longevity at my level.
John,
The clutchmaster solution will work for our power level. However, it will only last a third as long as the ATS. The longevity, IMO, justifies the up front purchase pain of the ATS.

Sean,

Sean,
Can you define "1/3 as long" in miles?
Has anyone tried the Clutchmasters 6-puck style disc they have recommended to me? I spoke to Todd about it yesterday and he thought it may chatter a little, due to the puck configuration/style. They have 4 puck for aggressive grip and 6 puck for aggressive street.

John,
8.5K miles for organic (that is what I got) versus (hopefully) 25K for the triple carbon.
Thanks for the feedback, Mark.
Anyone want to chime in about the drivability by the way?
Actually, w/ the M3 I only drive my GT2 about once a week anymore, so drivability isn't as important as before, when I drove the car 3 times a week.

I got 15K with a new, non heat treated 999 pressure plate and a GT2 disc at 700 HP. I am hoping to get at least double or triple that with the Clutchmaster treatment. I think that I am going to gamble on the Clutchmaster heat treatment/ fulcrum mod because I love the clutch action I have developed with the non assisted, OEM flywheel/ GT2 disc and I would hate to put in something I don't care for...I was thinking that 700 is a pretty easy bolt on, but it seems the clutch is the one area that requires some careful planning...and perhaps increased maintenance.
When you say the clutch goes 1/3 quicker...do you mean just the disc, as the PP should not wear out that quick? Would just a new disc be all that is required for another year?

If anyone isinterested, I am selling my sachs set up and lt weight flywheel real cheap. All you have to do is send it to Clutchmasters and they will fab up the pressure plate for 30% more clamping power for $500. You will then have a set up that will handle 700 to the wheels.
I would probably have done that had I had the time and not been offered such a good deal on the ATS triple carbon.
