Clutch is slipping!
Clutch is slipping!
Just had new rubber put on (Nitto NT1's R compound) and had the GT2 tech inspected...going to TWS next sat.
Unfortunately, I noticed that my clutch is starting to slip!
I need some recomendations as how to remedy the situation. I currently have the Sachs and lt. weight flywheel. Everything else is stock, I believe.
Should I just have my current set up reworked, or should I go all out for an ATS tripple carbon set up or the new Tilton?
Thanks, Sean

Sean realistically you could get away with something like a EVOMS Stage 4, unless your thinking about building the bottom end and throwing a set of GT30s or 35s on.
I'm shooting for about the same power as you make, maybe a TINY bit less, but I am using a Stage 3, which the only difference is that I'm using the Dual Mass flywheel.

Chris, your posts aren't showing up...
In any event, I called Titan and the Tilto isn't ready yet.
I just spoke w/ Tommy Bahn, who will be doing the install.
It looks like I am going w/ the ATS.

Try my ATS clutch, Call Akram and take it for a drive! Hmmm how can someone like a Tilton without ever driving one in a Porsche?? Just curious to know the reasoning behing it? You will hate the stage 4 clutch, I had it and you have about 1 inch of play.. basically on or off.

SAVE YOURSELF $4500 and send the clutch to clutchmasters. For a nominal fee you will have more then what you will ever need.

Marski, can you elaborate more on this? Can you send a stock clutch to them for say a stage II car with about 600 bhp? Thanks!
Mark,
That is an option I discussed w/ Todd K. Clutchmasters can modify the pressure plate for more clamping force (change pivot point)). I can then change clutch disk.
I think it will run me nearly $600-800 labor and shipping and then I will have install labor of at least $500.
The thing is, that set up will give me 10 at best. Id I go w/ an ATS triple carbon fiber set up (4K plus labor) it will last three times as long. I will also have a lengthy turnaround time (need to track next sat.).
Going to see what Tommy says, since he is doing install.

Tell me more about it...what kind of power are you putting down anyway?
I remember your body building more than your car (that sounds kind of gay, doesn't it
