A couple of new mods for the shark mobile...

Here are some mods the boys at Akkurat did before prepping the car for the track tomorrow.

The cool thing is the bezels match the silver parts in the interior (shiffter and brake) and at night they are back lit orange to match the other lights. At least this way I can see my AFR, tranny temp etc...

And here's mark 2 of the BOV which is even louder (video to come soon).

Basically here's what we took out...

The sound is WAY WAY cool now and much more "whooshy" in general. No problems whatsoever... Still in beta

Off to the track...

Coolio!!
Hey Alex, next time your car is in the air take a pic of the underside for me and circle the parts where the intake didn't work so I have an idea what to look for when we are intalling mine next week...

Looks good. I still would fab a snout to force cool air in to the filter.

sharkster,

Wouldn't you be taking in warmer air than if you ducted it into the air box from the outside?

Aye aye sir! Gonna do that... just wanted to try it out for sound. At speed it's sucking in outside air pretty well since you can see I removed the fan and the decklid underneath so it's getting air all over the place. Funny thing is, I have the snout from the stock wing, which I was gonna play with.

Should have heard her today on the track:P
So with version one beta done and tested there were no lights and just a much better sound all around. The BOV sounds crazy too- so I'll make a video. Just like the Millenium Falcon.

Sure thing.. it's gonna be hard to take a pic of the "problem" areas but I'll give it a shot

PS Guys, I'll make a video tonight... Let's just say the car is running really great (Kevin's turbos kick so much *** at the track- NO LAG!) even with my 9-10 afr's. On the way back she shot some flames too lol.

Oh and yes guys, that IS a turbo timer there also... We've been "beta" testing that out. So far so good... I like the ability (especially yesterday after running hard at the track) of being able to just walk away and go to my drivers meeting and she automatically shuts down after a set cool down period. The wiring was a bit of a nightmare (right James lol?) but it works.
