CF Spoiler: To paint or not to paint?
CF Spoiler: To paint or not to paint?
I installed a carbon fiber wing from Maxspeed Motorsports after finally finding/purchasing a 14mm allen socket. I've always had the intention of painting the carbon fiber Seal Grey to match, but now I think it might be a shame to cover up the CF. My problem with the CF is that it kind of sticks out a bit much and kind of gives the racer boy look. I have a set of Seal Grey bumperettes on the way.
Should I paint the spoiler or not? Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

Leave it the way it is
if you wanted to paint it you could have found a cheaper fiberglass wing, put the new bumperetts on and check it out again I think you'll like it natural. IMHO
I know. I think there's a wing on eBay from Taiwan for a little under $400 some odd dollars including paint to match, but after reading another thread which mentioned that that particular spoiler weighs over 11 lb, I thought it would be best to pay a little more for the CF which only weighs 5.8 lb.

Thanks in advance!!

Edit: I just realized that you purchased CF (not 100% fiberglass) for $400! Wow...I wish that seller was still around.

Oh...those scratches are not from the "spanner tool." They were conveniently exposed after removing the grease buildup the on the strut.

. My wing came shipped in a pretty ****ty box with poor protection. It was cracked on the edge, it took me about two days to finally get an answer back from him (it is on the other side of the world) but he knocked off $100 and it cost me $185 to fix it so all-in-all it wasn't a bad deal. It fit perfect and the finish was fine even before I had to fix it
The carbon fiber sure looks great on a black 6TT
