Need a quick help

I am having trouble with my cruise control and i would like to have someone try something for me real quick.

When you get in your car and put the key to the ON position (not starting it), if you press the cruise control main activation button, does the light come on in the dash?

I would like to know if someone with a working cruise control could try that for me.

really appreciated, thanks

Hm... When i turn the key to the "ON" position all the dash board lights come on. Pushing the main cruise activation button doesnt do anything unless my engine is running. Hope this helps

My old car did that too...I distinctively remember playing with it one day .
