saw a red 996TT near the memorial/beltway 8.

Interesting old thread as I now have a red 996TT with the plate BOOSTD. The car mentioned in this thread isn't mine though as I just got mine in May and moved the plate over from my E55.

Also, I put an apostrophe on my plate so it looks like this: BOOST'D.
